3DLoom

Turn one photo into a model you can print

3DLoom turns a single photo into a textured 3D model. Download it as GLB to view or use in a game, or as STL for your slicer. New accounts get 20 free credits, enough for two models, and failed generations are refunded.

How it works

  1. Step 1

    Upload one photo

One object, whole thing in frame. The background is removed for you.

  2. Step 2

    Pick an engine

Detailed for the most surface detail, Fast to keep your photo's camera angle.

  3. Step 3

    Download

GLB with textures, or STL for printing.

Two engines, two kinds of result

Detailed runs TRELLIS.2. In our runs it took 70–80 seconds of generation time and returned meshes of about 700,000 triangles with 4K textures; the GLB was around 50 MB.

Fast runs Pixal3D. It took 1.5–2 minutes in our runs, but it keeps the viewpoint of your photo more faithfully, which helps when the object is shot at an angle.

Time in the queue comes on top. The progress page shows your place in line.

What it is not good at yet

The side of the object you did not photograph is inferred, not seen. Thin straps, chains, hair and see-through parts are the most common failures. One object per photo works far better than a group or a scene.

Questions

What happens to my photo?+

It is stored with your model so you can see what you uploaded. Photos and models are private to your account and never published.

What if a model comes out wrong?+

If the generation fails, the credits go back automatically. If it finishes but looks wrong, try a sharper photo with the whole object in frame and a plain background.

Do I need a subscription?+

No. You buy credit packs when you need them, and credits don't expire.
